Renovation of a two-story penthouse apartment in the heart of the capital

Renovation of an old apartment in Berlin-Mitte with a penthouse roof terrace spanning two floors, converted into a high-quality apartment. The new owner had taken over the property from the previous owner after a fire. Half of the apartment had been destroyed and had to be completely renovated.

The building services were completely renovated and a sophisticated smart home system was integrated. In the lighting design, particular emphasis was placed on versatility, finely tuned lighting scenarios laid, which not only functional, but also create an atmosphere.

The particular challenge was that this was an old building with a homeowners' association, whose daily routine had to be disrupted as little as possible. Added to this was the downtown location mitten in Berlin – a major logistical challenge!

We took over the project after a previous planning team had failed to implement it. The construction site was plagued by numerous difficulties: during the construction phase, there was repeated water damage due to burst pipes and electronic failures, which made completion considerably more difficult. The construction period also dragged on inexplicably.

Only through a geomantic cleansing and the conscious application of energetic architecture—a targeted harmonization and activation of the location—cleared the way: The disruptions decreased noticeably, and processes began to flow smoothly. There were several complex energetic burdens on the apartment that had not been recognized before.

The result is an apartment with a clear, masculine presence – calm, elegant, high-quality, futuristic and technically state-of-the-art. It reflects the powerful energy of the building owner: a dominant entrepreneurial spirit, structured, goal-oriented—a space that embodies exactly that.
