In a dilapidated old building on the edge of La Boqueria market in Barcelona, the task was to establish a new concept for a seafood retailer: for restaurateurs under one roof.

The starting point: a house close to ruin, inhabited by pigeons. Upon closer inspection, however, we discovered valuable substance: powerful facade columns and inside, a multi-layered wall created by decades of changing layers of plaster and paint—a silent work of art that we wanted to integrate into the new interior design. The idea quickly became clear: Modernity with the rough charm of the past connect.

Due to strict hygiene requirements, stainless steel, glass, and ceramic were chosen.

Central element: a specially manufactured stainless steel structureeine Geometrie, which interprets the basic shape of a fish, floats beneath the old, unrenovated ceiling. It carries all the lighting, which thus remains elegantly concealed.

After three months of construction, the company opened its doors. We succeeded in capturing and preserving not only the visible architecture but also the subtle energy of the space. The original charm and energetic signature of the place remained intact. The soul of the house was able to live on within its walls—undisturbed, integrated, and revitalized. The property feels alive and radiates a deep, tangible presence from.
